Does foliar feeding cause discoloration of leaves?

Does anyone know if foliar feeding causes discoloration of leaves? If so, why?

It depends on what is in the spray. I use a seaweed mixture with a spreader/sticker and my leaves are brownish, but that is a good sign that the fertilizer is sticking.

I burned some leaves. perhaps from using sticking agent (coco wet) in the heat. Some plants were strongly effected, others seemingly not at all.

i just used fish and kelp emulsion and sugar. I believe some of the leaves are slowly turning back green.
