This is the Way!

Cut a scion.
Put it in a water tube.
Put inside a plastic bag.
Put stamp on it and send us.

I’m just a private collector not a marverick.

You can order it from china. But you have to order at least $2000 or about 10 trees. Also have to have an import license or something. Also quarantine. Also after all that they might just die in the process

This is a Chinese  seedless variety different  than the Australian seedless. Apparently this one is amazing.

They ship bare roots.
Would die here during quarantine.

Do you have quarantine there?

How is it bare root if it says packed with coco peat? So in quarantine they just leave it as is? You’re not allowed to put it in a pot or something?

Isn’t guandong different than sansuelin? Jason’s Nursury is in guandong

I'm jealous, I've been checking Daley's Nursery daily for months waiting to see if Erdon lee is available. Ended up settling for Red Ball lychee for the time being.

Red Ball looks like a winner as many of the newer ones do. Everyone just seems to want Erdon Lee and are asking when the big seedless will be released and that has overshadowed 3 or 4 allegedly fabulous types that deserve some time in the spotlight.Erdon Lee at $Aust75 each flew out the door at a local nursery and now none are left.

Ok for a California hitlist presuming you have salathiel covered if you wanted it the top acquisitions are still erdon lee and the big seedless san sue lin. Red ball, lin san sue and shuang baliaalso seem to be excellent.Chompogo, jean hong and baitaying look to be winners as well. I have not tried these new ones but from intel and what others are saying that should be pretty close to the mark.

Ok thank you very much Mike.  I appreciate it.  Ill be going to Oz and will try and pick some of those ones up.

Any talk of ending quarantines for travelers who have taken a covid vaccine?

Many states are going long periods without any cases and in QLD none in the last 24 hours but 6 for Australia in same period so almost the same for a month or so. State borders are quite porous atm but no word on routine international travel. It feels like its over here and the second wave was pretty small. The 28,000 cases in Australia were mostly in Victoria in a short space of time and there are not new cases every day there any more even though thousands are being tested daily. The end is in sight here at least.

I'm just curious how they will open up travel again.  I saw Quantas saying people will need a covid vax to fly.  Hopefully that will mean no more quarantines.
