I have 4 plants that are 12 inches tall. How do I grow them successfully in zone 10A, San Diego, California. Do they like to be more wet than dry and do they like high temperatures in summer? TIA.

I've got one in a 10 gallon that is a few feet tall. It has a lot of perlight and stays outside all the time, Right now it is producing tons of fruit, I think as long as it doesn't get real wet roots it should be fine.

Marklee...in all my reading online I found that you need male and female plant... Curious how yours produce fruit with only one plant.

I want to say I had a single tree that set fruit also, is it possible they get pollinated by regular papayas?
