BendersGrove, has yours flowered?  There is an old post on gardenweb which Harry mentions that he bought one but it has not flowered.

From Wikipedia:

History

Emerald was selected in Pine Island, Florida due to its excellent eating qualities and heavy production. It was named a 2010 Curator's Choice mango for the 2010 mango festival at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden.

Description

The fruit is an emerald-green color at maturity, sometimes developing a crimson blush when exposed to sun, averaging less than a pound in weight. The flesh is orange, fiberless, and has a rich flavor,

Mine is about the same age.....2 years old.....having been purchased at the Fairchild Festival two years ago.  It was one of the very few mango trees that I have that did not flower last year.  Thankfully, it is currently sending out blooms.  I haven't ever tasted the fruit but the Fairchild description sounded interesting.  I don't always agree with the Fairchild evaluators, but I think I was additionally drawn to this cultivar because it was supposedly also disease resistant for our very wet fruiting season.

That's when we purchased ours, and in fact for the very diesease resistant reason,so I guess we will see, just really curious about the taste.

from 2010 Fairchild festival program courtesy Jeff Hagen:

‘Emerald’ (Florida) ‘ Emerald’ was selected on Pine Island, Florida
many years ago due to its heavy production, disease resistance and
excellent flavor. It falls within the ‘B ombay’ flavor class of mangos
and has a deep, rich flavor with heavy tones of berry and Indian
spice. The fruit are 12 ounces with a emerald green skin color. When
exposed to the full sun the fruit will have a slight burgundy blush on
the shoulder. The skin is smooth and waxy and very smooth. The
flesh is deep orange and without fiber. The fruit can be scored and
twisted open and eaten with a smooth. The tree is medium to large
and is a vigorous grower. Nitrogen and water should be tightly
controlled in order to get consistent, heavy production. The fruit ripen
in the middle of the summer and have excellent disease tolerance and
storage characteristics.

I've scoured the internet for information on this cultivar and that one spippet from FTBG on it dating to the mango festival a few years ago was the only source I could find when I wrote the wiki. They had it as a curator's choice mango a few years ago, had the trees for sale, and did not have it available last year.

The flavor description is intriguing if you appreciate Bombay-flavor (I do but know that some don't).

Richard Campbell or Noris Ledesma can more than likely provide  more info about it if someone inquires.

I can't remember what the history behind it was.....whether it was a recent selection like Angie or an older cultivar. I seem to remember something about it possibly being selected in the 1940s (which would coincide with some of the other Pine Island/Frank Adams selections), but I could be wrong about that.

They had a mango at the festival labelled 'Fairchild Emerald'. Not sure if it is/was the same thing.

Since they claim it to be a selection made over on the west coast.....on Pine Island, there must be some older growers over there that have had some experience with it......one would think anyway.  Any of our Ft. Myers folks interested in doing some investigation on this??
