I hear you sumognat My neighbor brings me bag loads of her carambolas. But I discovered when you juice them in a slow juicer, the juice is exceptional.
Regarding productivity, I do not really care either. I hope the tree will not get very big though.

here in Mexico people do Guanábana juice by adding water and sugar in the blender then just strain it and add ice is delicious, the seeds don't brake easily, same thing when accidentally eating it, will go out in one piece, to be poison need to get a handful and Chew on them..

You mention Guava is early. How early? And how vigorous? I want to graft on my VP in the front yard and need rather a solid big tree.

@Fiddler, what is the outcome? Did your macadamia survive?
My Beaumont did almost nothing (maybe 1 flush) for 3 years, then died. Originally was a 3-gallon nice sapling.
I wonder if I should even bother with buying a new one... Or go for another mango 

Haha, this is what happens when you ask for a recommendation on tropicalfruitforum. I love this place.
I am not ruling out NDM4 completely at the moment, because according to tropicalacresfarms it is dwarfish and my kids like it as the only mango variety. They might not be kids anymore when the tree starts fruiting though... Also, anything mold/fungus has not been a concern so far. I think I am lucky with the microclimate here.
But I think Rosigold will be a winner. Imam Prasand will probably take another spot on my lot though.

Re Rosigold: yes, I am aware it is quite mediocre, but very early.
Re Imam Pasand, I am very intrigued. From my preliminary research, I want it! My research says it's 10-15 feet tall, so ok with me. The only issue is the fruiting season June July. Mid-season and I am looking rather for early or late varieties.
Excalibur lists Imam Pasand. Mike, do you have it in your nursery? Shorter drive than Excalibur

I did fertilize the sapling. We'll see, maybe that is just this specimen.
Are your Orange Sherbets also so upright growing? I bought mine in 1gal container and at first, it sprouted one flush on the main stem. Then I cut the tip and it finally sprouted three branches but still very upright oriented. Now about 2feet high. Not that I am particularly worried about this fact, just being curious.

I am more preoccupied with my Pickering. Bought in Spring from Excalibur, it only had one flush so far. I planted it in the ground immediately after purchase. It is not even 1 foot tall I guess. I know from you that Pickerings are precocious and was already looking forward to picking fruits in 2 years. No chance now. Any of you had a similar experience?

Just reporting that I have harvested multiple fruits from my 5 papaya trees. Not even one infested since the one I reported last time. So organza bags are such a great solution. So convenient. I have eaten copious amounts of green papaya salad this season. As pineislander noticed, fruit flies do not attack now. The newly formed fruits do not have injuries.

I will be updating this thread from time to time as I planted some other varieties, such as sunrise, sunset, tainung waimanalo low bearing, red lady, improved maradol, red matador, Sun Gold, known you, bella, red queen. At first, I was labeling them but lost patience somewhere on the way lol.

Quite surprising for me: some papayas started fruiting 6 months after planing the seed.

You need to hurry though. I was there a few days ago and the fruit was super ripe, quite some fell on the ground.

I am not sure if any of you is aware of that. Those of you in West Palm Beach area, you might want to forage for longans. The trees are located on North Shore Drive, vis-a-vis Mangonia Park Tri Rail station. Almost the entire street is lined with them. At least two cultivars. You need telescope fruit picking scissors. The trees are big.
I picked about 8-10 lb.

Lol, I will order more for sure. I am just at the stage of defining the optimal set. I am also approaching a decision to switch completely to mangos. I have so much failure with other fruit. With mangos in my area, the procedure is: plant, forget, come back in 3 years to pick fruit. Well, almost that and I hope I am not saying it at the wrong moment.
Currently, I have Valencia pride and Maha fruiting. Excalibur and Pickering too young to fruit. Orange Sherbet waits patiently in a pot until I cut down that hideous areca palm. If I really focus on mangoes I have space for 6 more trees, but this would be a big stretch.
