Thanks everyone! I have to blame it all on Harry Hausman. I got 5 pounds of sapodilla fruit from him about 4 years ago (my first) and now I have three trees! Thanks again.

Hello all! My submission: Alano Sapodilla about 3 years old. Holding 5 fruit, I picked one about a week ago and it was not quite ripe. This is my second year of fruit (2 last year) and I'm still having a heck of time deciding when they are ripe. This is my first time trying to post a photo so I hope it works.

I had been looking at these for years but the $50 price tag kept me away. Well, last year I got one for half price and it died within 2 months.

Really enjoyed the interview even though I do not understand a word of french, except maybe 'french toast or french fries' .........great video!

I bought seeds for 6 or 8 different tropical plants several years ago and got zero germination. I did use a heat mat and gave them months to germinate but nothing! At least you got worms! That was my first and last try with Trade-Winds. Gil

Hi Folk, I recently ran across this forum and have enjoyed reading the posts. I live in coastal South Carolina which is zone 8.  I grow a number of tropical fruits in containers and have six citrus trees in the ground. I also grow a lot of cold hardy subtropical fruits in the ground. I hope to learn a lot from the group!
