Will Japanese Persimmons continue ripening if picked early?
I have a nice bumper crop of Tanninashi, Eureka and Fuyu.
And I just want to beat the critters to them.
Birds. Possums. Squirrels. Rats. Mice.
Even Cockroaches love them!

My Kishu trees went through their regular Spring bloom... set fruit... and now I see they are blooming again.
Anyone else experience this?
I've only been growing them a couple of years now... so maybe it is not unusual?

Good News...
Last week I was finally certified to ship plants to California.
After jumping through many hoops, filling out forms, paying fees, enduring inspections, laboratory soil tests, and upgrading my pest control procedures (Organic)... I now have the official Plant Protection labels to place on California shipments.
They are primarily concerned about Soil Nematodes, Japanese Beetles, Fire Ants and Glassy-Winged Sharpshooters.
I plan to start shipping to California next week!
