Patinoa Almirajo
« on: April 15, 2020, 11:10:50 PM »
At last a few have germinated, any one out there growing this beauty?

I have long searched for it after reading and seeing few pictures of the fruit..

I have no idea how cold hardy they are, but most likely one more suited for the tropics / greenhouse set up.

Nice seedling. It is from the Choco region of Colombia so I don't think it is very cold hardy. On the contrary it withstands 30-37C in my area without issue.

Humidity of my area right now is very low, around 10%-25%. In the rain season it can reach 90% so P. Almirajo can comfortably thrive in a wide range of humidity although it will need enough heat.
