Disease infecting all our citrus plants
« on: May 05, 2019, 03:37:55 PM »
So something started happening to all our citrus plants at the same time. If any one k own what it is, if it’s fungus or not? And how can it be treated that would be great!
Any help is appreciated !

Also there is a small bug that was found around the leaves but I don’t think it’s the cause but I’ll post a picture anyways.

The 'bug' is a benefical spiderling.

Definitely leafminer. They target the younger leaves.

the damage is done, heavily prune back and spray new growth regularly, once the leaves start to age a bit the sapsuckers won’t target them anymore.

these bugs are like a lice infestation, very hard to remove completely once allowed to breed.

Since citrus take breaks from flushing once healthy you can really get rid of them if you spray all new flushes

odd to see leafminer that far north. We do not have them here in the continent in potted trees. They are regular on the med coast in late spring.
