I think the Laplae Durian festival is late July/early August, so yeh, there is still Durian in Thailand, Thailand actually very long country with wide range longitudes.

I have seen Durian in every market and roadside stalls while we were in Phuket and Bangkok from June 26- July 16. I am not a fan so I didnt pay attention to varieties.

Yes, it's currently durian season in the south!

Here in Surat Thani the peak of cutting has passed already, but durian is still available everywhere. In our own small garden, we have been eating tree-fallen durian ban (small and smelly local durian types, planted from seed) every day for the last 2 or 3 weeks, sold one round of not-yet-totally-ripe (75-80% ripeness?) monthong for export to China, and now last few days ripe monthong are finally begining to fall from the trees.

Lots of durian-even in the north
Bonus as the price is getting better as the season goes on
