Pasture-raised Lard or Tallow?
« on: December 23, 2015, 02:20:30 PM »
Which are the most nutritious & best tasting, in your opinion?

I've read pasture-raised lard has more Vitamin D, but tallow has more CLA.

Which do you recommend?

Yes, pasture raised lard should have higher vitamin D (not sure tallow has much at all) while tallow has higher saturated fat.

Between the rwo, lard is more versatile and i feel stores and uses better.  Duck fat is also excellent,  possibly the best of them all.

Now that i have responded,  I am not sure how this thread fits on this forum...
