Multi grafted persimmon tree
« on: November 04, 2020, 03:59:07 PM »
How difficult is it to graft a persimmon tree. I have a fuyu that's been in the ground for two seasons. It hasn't really produced fruit yet. I should have been patient and bought one that I could physically see that it had fruit on it.  I didn't so just in case this tree is not productive. Can I graft different varieties onto it. Is it like grafting an apple or pear tree or is it more difficult?

Ps it's a beautiful day in Florida with a nice breeze. The migratory birds are returning. Saw a kingfisher dive in my pond today :)

Easy to graft, like an apple. I prep scions in the winter if you have things to trade.
