this is the only plant sale that I participate in...I love the fact that it's a one day event, dedicated to the sole purpose of selling tropical fruit trees.

I save some of the rarest and best plants I have, for this amazing sale.

Hope to see you there.

I wish there was anything like this I could attend.  Anything at all that was tropical fruit and remotely close.  Really need some people to organize a East Coast/Mid Atlantic group.  Just because we dont live in zone 9-10 or above but there has too be a lot of interest still.  Anyways, awesome event I'm sure and hope you guys get an awesome turnout.

At 5000 trees, that is bigger than the Urban Harvest sale in Houston (they broke the tropicals off into a different sale this year).
Very impressive, it is one heck of an operation to pull off a sale like that.

And I'm sure this one is far more tropical than ours.
I'm jealous, sounds like fun.  Fun to volunteer at these things too.

It really is amazing. Last year was my first time going/working all day. I am the secretary of the MRFC. It is an entire indoor, air conditioned civic center filled with tree vendors. Heavy hitters like Adam (Flying Fox), Wayne Clifton (of the Dream infamy), my dear friend Larry Atkins usually has a bazillion mango cultivars, and another close friend Sulcata Grove (geosulcata on the forum) has an incredible banana collection as well as top tier cultivars in lots of other stuff. There are plenty of other great vendors and also Ray Jones is there hanging out. I'll post some pictures for those that can't make it. Anyone that is a regular TFF poster would be a kid in a candy store. There is normally quite a line outside before the doors open. Definitely make it if you can.

How does it compare to the RFC Fruit Tree Sale in West Palm Beach at the Fairgrounds?  Has anyone been to both?

If I don't have anything else important going on, I may have to drive over. Still missing two trees from this years list to buy.

The sale is just one week away! Several vendors are bringing more unusual trees not listed on the flyer.

Looking forward to this. Dragging my wife along, she isn't looking forward to this. Both of us are saying "Yay, more trees."

Was a very cool show. Very talkative people. Door opening felt like it was Black Friday, kept waiting for a fight to break out over a lemon tree :p.
Observations-
Why the heck are people fighting these lines and other people to buy hum drum citrus trees? Exotic fruit sale, I wasnt expecting home depot citrus trees in the numbers I saw. Kudos to the vendors for knowing people would buy them in droves rather than simply go to HD for the exact same trees. Same reason I dont own a fish store, I would only have the exotic stuff and no bread and butter fish. Maybe I am just too much of a tree snob to have even thought of it. Note I separate normal citrus from the exotic stuff you have to hunt down to find. Weirdly enough I did not notice any exotic citrus, not that I was really looking.  Harris citrus would have really racked up I think.

Bring a cart, after carrying around a mango tree in a 7 gallon pot for and hour, my arms were a bit sore, especially after I added a zills surinam cherry and 5 gal named jackfruit.

Overall fun time, might do it again in a couple years. Too far a drive to do it two years in a row, I go all the way out there so close to the beach, its almost a tease not to go.
Met up with Adam again and another forum member, so that was cool. Very cool selection of trees, kind of glad I did not have a cart. As it was I limited my purchases to what I could carry. My score for this event, Sweet Tart mango, already pugged :), Zill's suranam cherry with fruit, IS#2 jackfruit, one of Adam's new fuzzy jaboticabas, a white sapote from a nice guy who gave me a sample of the fruit, a red wax jambu, and something else.

I liked the event as well. Even though I came pretty late into the event I still managed to get some trees I wanted except for star fruit. I picked up a wax jambu, jackfruit, lychee and loquat. Will be coming back next year for sure

Also enjoyed the event and the opportunity to meet Adam and
Tropheus 76. How nice it was to attend an event inside an air conditioned building.

What a cool sale. So many trees in an air conditioned room that even my wife was amazed. I picked up a lemon zest and venus mango, a premium low-fat, and a garcinia

Sorry I missed this one. My wife and I have newborn twin boys so I couldn't make it out. What were some of the highlights of the show? Anything mind-blowing?
