I went to Grimal Grove on Sunday, and wow! The amount of work they are doing on the property is immense. Previously the Grove was so thick you could not even walk through it without a machete. Now they cleared up the majority of the place and found most of Grimal's trees, but not all. While I was cleaning up Sunday, I found two imbe trees and one longan being strangled under the native trees. The imbes were flowering. There were a couple of trees that were not identified and I am going to post them below. Please confirm/ identify as we are trying to make a comprehensive list of all the trees to be found, and we are still finding more.

I think it is some kind of native/non edible

Pouteria sp. ?

Longan

No idea

As well, I talked to the people at Grimal Grove about donations, and the first trees they are asking for are cacao trees. One of the people working it is a professional chocolatier and the one cacao tree they have there is not fruiting, but flowers. So they are asking for any grafted trees or fruiting seedlings. If you can't donate, if you know a cheap source for them as well that would be great.

Thanks everyone,
Omar Paez

Omarito,

the first plant plant reminds me of my Manilkara discolor, but it could be something else...

The "Pouteria?" might be Abiu.

The " No Idea"  appears to be Mamey-Apple (Mammea americana).

Adolf Grimal...one of my heroes!   8)

I salute you too, Adolf. A pioneer and man ahead of his times. His spirit must have come to rest somewhere in South America.
Eugenia luschnathiana = CURUIRI.    Talisia esculenta = PITOMBA
I do not recommend people deal with Fruit Lovers, Prisca Mariya or Fernando Malpartida
