Parsons - the monster mango producer in CA wow

JF was generous to have me try Parsons mango and experiment its wood to see how it produces on other rootstocks. Parsons is a Juliette seedling and it scored in top 2 two years ago in So Cal Tasting.

My graft did not grow much as it kept blooming, so I let it fruit this year. I got over 24 mangoes on one pinnacle, a lot are hidden on the back side, had to thin it down to 5 max. look at what I got.

I have never seen anything like this on mangoes. I have had 12-cluster on Coconut cream and similar on Sweet Tart, but this one had over 24, and not one was willing to drop. mangoes could easily get past 1.5 lb to 2 lb size too and taste excellent.

Looking great on the cluster before and after thinning and........  great looking orange mango flesh there. Orange means sweet/ripe while yellow means acidy and premature.

That looks awesome Behl! Hopefully there will be some available for the mango tasting. Did you happen to get a Brix reading and does it resemble Juliette or Julie in terms of flavor profile?

the ones I picked are not pick ready and may not have much to offer. But the 5 left on tree, I am hoping for them to size up a bit for our October tasting event. I am sure Frank will have monster sized from mother tree. He was very excited about it, but not sure if those will hold until October, LOL. I will brix test once these ripe on counter.
