Picked up some organic California Keitts at Aldi for 39 cents. I plan to sprout a few seeds

Thanks for the heads up, too bad there’s no Aldis around here. You will probably need high bottom heat to germinate Mango seeds at this time of the year.

Hi Rodney,
Keitts at Aldi's for 39 Cents per pound?
Thanks!

I just went to Aldi and pick up 10 Keitt Mangos for 39 Cents each to try. They are small, but tasted good.
I chose one intentionally soft to try, and the seed already sprouted with root. I will plant the seed tomorrow.
Thanks Rodney!

Certainly not big as the the Keitt's from Mexico and Brazil, they are delicious, nonetheless

Simon,
There are two ALDI store locations in Escondido.

Hi everyone! Today i buy keitt mangos on Lidl for first time. They are smaller than the other varieties that show up here like osteen, palmer, haden and tommy. They are green now but i will tell when i eat them. :P

Went back to buy more California Keitt, and found they're now 25 cents/each. Get 'em while you can.
One seed already sprouted for me. I put them in a bowl of water with a seedling heat mat for bottom heat

I just eat it and didn't like. It's too acid to me. It's sweet but too acid.

went to check it out...walking to the entrance saw a lady push a cart out with at least 30 mangos. so i hurried in. and in front of the mango section was another lady who was picked up another 25....by the time i got to it, it was slim pickings but i picked up 4 to try and at least get some rootstock to try.
