Your Thai red looks excellent! I've got a guava similar to yours but I haven't received fruit from it yet, definitely gets me excited to try it!

Will you be offering ilama seeds this year?

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Growing Carambola tree in a pot?

But I am convinced I have finally pinned down the flavor of carambola. It is a fruit version of Brussel sprouts.
That's so weird but it's a really accurate description of some of the carambola I've tasted! Lol

Family feuds and beef between neighbors is no joke in Mexico, my father is from a small town in Guerrero and while me and my brother were growing up he'd share how the males of our family would lose there lives in feuds with other families. It may not escalate to that but It's best to find an alternative than to potentially risk your live or health.

Definitely looks like some sort of campomanesia sp.
My guess would be campomanesia adamantium

Paulish no one is being disrespectful to you so why are you being rude?  All b2b was pointing out was there's more than one story.
Anyway your posts really show alot about your character....

Leaf in the first picture on the left actually looks crunchy(dry) maybe it's getting to much sun? Might benefit from some shade

36
For me they tasted like fruity tomatoes, not entirely bad. I agree with scottsurf more of a health thing

You'd probably have better luck posting this thread in the tropical for sale forum

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Mini Guava
« on: November 24, 2017, 02:58:03 PM »

I may have some seedlings in the spring.

I'd be interested in some mini guava seedlings from you!
I'm planning on making a hoophouse next year and the mini guava would be perfect to grow in there!
Also the mini guava is beautiful in flower! Does it share the same nice aroma that a larger guava has?

Surinam cherry does fine for me in full sun but grumichama suffers in high heat and full sun. Also cherry of the Rio grande seems like it likes cooler weather, it also suffered in high heat and full sun here

Both Grumichama and CORG might benefit from partial shade in high temps.
