wow 8 feet is about 2.5 meters! That's pretty close, would be great for me. In fact it opens up a new possibility - what's minimum distance between an avocado and a níspero?
I don't have specific experience with the two types mentioned but avocados can grow big in the tropics and they are vulnerable to root disease. So, we plant 8m apart.Peter

So, we plant 8m apart.PeterI think you should follow Peter's advice for long term benefits. 3 meters means plants have 1.5 meter to go before they touch each other. That is crazy short. Also try to plant on the slope for good drainage.
