Mature ice cream bean in 9B/10a Florida?

Is it possible to grow inga edulis or feuillei in a 9b or 10a zone in Florida? Or do they dislike high humidity?

I grew a seedling in the Miami Dade aria and it’s the fastest growing tree in my block, was planted into the ground a little then two years ago and saw some flowers this past weekend.

Mine has more than doubled in size in about 6 months. About 6’ tall now, no fruit yet. It does appear a bit sunburned tho.

All of mine were planted in pots (10B-11) but I noticed each had a circling tap root, removed during planting. That may have stunted the growth. The seeds sprout very fast so I'd suggest try planting in soil in place. If you fear squirrels eating the sprouts consider putting a cage over it.

How cold hardy is this plant? My area sees 25-26 every few years.

They get more cold tolerant as they mature, but overall they're not cold tolerant, especially for extended periods under freezing temps. As long as the roots survive they can bounce back, but ideally you'll want to protect them from frost.
