The seeds don't look like pure Citron seeds, or even Lemon seeds. It's sweet. On contrary of pomelo they eat the flesh and white part... and skin to make tea. All fruit is used!
Agree, It's more likely a hybrid, but that is expected.
I wonder what this fruit is used for ?? That's a lot of lime / lime juice in one hit.
The Alemow or Colo, Citrus macrophylla is cooked whole in stews in the Phillipines.
I just got seeds of them...Sorry i didn't remember about this thread...
Can you post an image of the seed ??
Citron seeds are fairly distinct, and Pummelo seeds are fairly distinct so it may give some clues.

Yes, I have several grafted sumo scions on many of my trees and some are 4 yrs old. The taste of the fruits will get better on the older trees. I do see half of my grafted sumo with fruits which may look ripe (fully colored orange) but if you taste them now it is still not sweet. It's edible but just a little sweetness and mostly acidic. Here's another fruit I picked a few weeks back that looks ripe, let it sit on the counter for 2 wks to see if it gets sweeter but not really. Still needs to hang on the tree until Jan-Feb here for me in SoCal.Hi! Shiranui/sumo fruits can be flat? I have one growing like yours and think i was cheated because i never saw any flat sumo... it's the first fruit...
My older branches have much larger fruits and they are still green, probably will not turn color for another month. If I wait until end of Jan to mid-Feb the fruits taste seems to be the best. Last year I waited until March but the fruit was past it full ripeness and it wasn't as good as the ones from Feb.
Here's the flat sumo fruit I picked, no seeds, and ate on 12/17/21. Still not sweet, but more acid taste as Goyo said.
I just got seeds of them...Ok when they arrive i post pics

Yuzu Nr 3 is said to be the best and most frost hardy but I think the range of variation is not that big.Thank's! The seller said nº4 have more spines but the fruit is biger than nº3...
You better ask on http://www.agrumes-passion.com because these numbers are only used in France.I tried to be a member of this forum and another one but they didn't validate my membership
Your small tree will be so tired. Hope she rebounds after the fruits come off.Yes i understand... so i should give her some fertilizer now or when fruit gets matured? Thank's!
