I don't think so, I'd be curious to learn about this one though. I've been wanting to expand my casimoroa collection

Scant info online:(
Made even more difficult since sapote/sapota is often just used for edulis but on Wikipedia it says sapota is a distinct species.
David do you grow any Casimoroa's beside edulis?
Would also be interested to hear about the less common species :)

No I only have one white sapote at the moment, but a while back I was researching some other cultivars and looking for a C. tetramaria, Wolly sapote and i got interested in acquiring some other species.

So Ill trade you something for a  couple seeds or seedling if you do get them.

Ed, where did you get the Pringles?

Ed -- is your C. pringlei fruiting?  Have you seen variation in the fruit taste / size in it, or are you only using it as rootstock?

I have seen slight variations in the fruit quality. None of them are even close tastewise to a good White Sapote. My main interest is using the C. Pringlei as White Sapote rootstock since it is hardy down to 4 F. I just haven't been able to devote any time to the project but will eventually.

Old post I know, Sadly I didn't get seeds from my contact as he wasnt in town during the last three fruiting seasons. However rarepalmseeds listed them so I took a chance and thanks to the help of another forum member obtained a few. Due to my previous experience with rarepalmseeds seed being a reseller and the seed age being unknown I soaked the seeds in GA3 to try kick start them. Theyre certainly less vigorous than my lemon gold seedlings. Heres a pic of the most vigorous.
