Disadvantages: small harvest, so only a small number of commercial cultivation in Taiwan.
Advantages: a little sweet, crunchy flesh, like a pear.Completely seedless.

xunxun I wonder if it is the same as the thai seedless ones that have been around for a while.Taiwan seems to have a few fruit in common with thailand.A pink fleshed seedless guava in the same shape and form would be great.

Yes I believe it's the same as the Thai. I was sold a plant here from a Chinese nursery. The guy said it's the Taiwanese giant seedless and also the Thai.
Taiwanese folks like to take things from places in SE Asia and slap Taiwanese in front of them. Taiwanese jujube is the same as Indian. I don't think that they're looking to take credit but they want to lose the negative feelings some people have of these other places.
Taiwanese growers do create improved cultivars so sometimes it's hard to tell.

Seedless guavas need/deserve to be improved.
If a seedless guave is created/produced... that is sweet and tasty, large and productive, well, that would be just be fantastic, epic!

There are other varieties of seedless guava in Taiwan, but this is only one 100% seedless.
If it is like the general guava varieties good harvest, I thinks~Taiwan guava farmers will replant this variety.

Maybe breeders in Taiwan will be developing one with a more stable harvest. Lets hope so.

I'd imagine improving seedless fruit would be a challenge. Crossing and planting seeds of seedless fruit may represent a challenge, so I guess you take what you are given as the end product?

Seedless guava, and I had just planted the seedlings, and hope that one day can be found to improve the harvest technology.
