I found this spectacular woody vine which sets heavy amounts of kind of grapes that turns from bright green towards a vivid deep red color, the fruits has a mild sweet flavor , this vine is really showy and one of the most attractive trees I've seen along with a nice tree at the entrance of Lancetilla Botanical Garden, which trunk is loaded with green kind of figs all the way to the top, like a giant jaboticaba,
Uva de Monte looks like is ripening in phases which makes an attractive combination of colors of fruits,it can go fine over another tree as doesn't have many leaves as you see in the pics, or it can be on a wall having the wow!! Factor with your guests, definitely a nice specimen to commercialization in nurceryes,
Interested please PM me

Wow,

Is this tropical fruit. Seeds may be very small. It may be propagated with cutting than seeds. When compared with grapes, is it coming closer to that.

What price you sell seeds. What is the germination period. Will they be survived in a normal airmail envelop. I am from Sri Lanka

Hi Raul

Could this be a variety of Muscadine grapes (Vitis rotundifolia)?
Or yet another different Vitis species?

any idea about cold hardiness?... should it be deciduous in winter?

Thanks in advance

Hi Miguel, I don't know about that been related with regular grapes as we don't have them in semitropical climate in Mexico, but I could be wrong, as you see the flesh is white I never saw a grape with that color, but again about grapes my knoweledge is very limited, this plant was just found in the forest and very few people knows abut it, maybe an endangered species, I don't have a proper ID yet

For all of those who purchase seeds from me,Im glad to let you know that I went today to check the vine as it's not on my property, and to my surprise
The bunches were not vivid red like the pics I show first but now they are black, that explains why I was getting that mild sweet flavor,I was eating them under ripe!the flavor improves with maturity, Its so funny when you are expose to a new fruit for first time!
Theres a few last seeds available if anybody wants

I don't think so Haris as this is from Mexico, and is very rare even in the wild, very few people from here knows about it

Hello,
It could be Ampelocissus acapulcensis, A. erdvendbergiana, A. erdwendbergii or A. mesoamericana. All of these species occur in Mexico.
