Dude, 22$/lb.? Plus shipping? I don't foresee you getting a ton of business. So, if you put your cherimoya in a USPS flat rate box for $14.99, then people will pay (about-depending on the weight of the fruit)...$36.99...for a fruit. Yikes

Guys, no offense, but it is a little unprofessional and unnecessary to bust the guy over his pricing for a product he is trying to move.  That same fruit, plus SA's, etc, sells at local vendors in Miami for much more right off the street corner--not even including the added benefit of shipping to the doorstep.  They are hefty, but for good reason when most people pay for the fruit for a ROI by selling the seeds online.

Depending on the quality of his product, and with everything going on, it is likely competitive, and some vendors are raising prices to avoid running out of stock entirely to meet demand.

Too pricey Brian....people are getting laid off already.
At that price you gonna end up throwing much of your fruit away.
Lower that bro!

I sell it for 5$ a pound.  Its not even cherimoya season in san diego.  Seems odd.

I too agree, well said. it's seems to me cheaper option than buying from here:

or maybe if you have a fancy website its OK?

I live in San Diego and usually give mine away for free, the 16 that I have grew from seeds some I got from a farm in Ramona who the man said the fruit was grown from seed. Also grew some seeds from Peru and Mexico, there is this one from the seed of Ramona that is just wow the biggest and sweetest cherimoya I have ever tasted, thinking of selling cuttings or making grafted plants maybe even patent it.

I'm still able to find Cherimoyas for sale at some roadside stands in North County (Escondido, Valley Center, and Pauma Valley). I thought the season ended much earlier here but apparently not!

I often see fruit stands (roadside or farmers market) selling what appear to be supermarket type of fruits,  rather than locally or backyard grown.

If you're talking about those fruit stands right before the freeway on-ramp or on the corner of a street in the city, then yes, they are most likely bought at wholesale and resold. But even then, there are many local fruit producers here in the county who sell to the LA wholesale markets, who then distribute them back around San Diego, the state, and the country. BUT the fruit stands I'm talking about in north county are on the property of the grower or have permits to sell on behalf of local growers.
