Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Can anyone tell me about these mangoes..

Today I grafted Buxton spice, Pickering, Valencia pride, and j-12 onto a lemon meringue. I guess I won't use the others.

Thanks for the help

The USDA Buxton Spice is from a seedling. Even though they said it's poly it's listed as unverified by the USDA. I have an actual grafted Buxton Spice, please do not share that budwood as Buxton Spice as it's from a seedling. I would hate to create varietal confusion down the line.

When my tree has budwood available I can share it with you to replace the seedling one.

How did you know it came from the USDA? :) and no I haven't shared anything I've received. K thanks I appreciate that.

Someone on Craigslist in my area is selling 5-6ft Angel Red pomegranate trees for $15. Is it worth picking up one? And are there any ways to tell the difference between them and other varieties, other than cutting open a fruit?

I just picked up a 'honey heart' cherimoya for $29. It's a 3 foot tall whip but for the price what could I expect

After reading this I went back searching for one, but at my home depot they didn't have any arghh
Oh well hopefully they'll get them soon

If you don't end up trading the juicy peach, I'd like to buy it

They have 7 gal sapote, loquat, strawberry guava, pineapple guava, and fig trees for $20. Don't know how good a deal that is to people, but figured I'd post anyway.

Haha thanks, hopefully it'll help with varmints. I just had a random moment of creativity. It's was a support from a pallet leftover after making raised beds, and had some paint leftover from my daughter's chair that I painted.
