I guess when you have 5 trees, there's more of a chance to get lucky.
only one or two of the trees have held fruits so far..and not very many fruits (but had lots of flowers)....Im thinking if the poor fruit set wasn't because this is the first time it's flowered, it must be because it's root bound and in a greenhouse that gets about 100F.
either way, it's exciting to taste and fruit a brand new eugenia species...i'm not sure if anyone in the US has fruited this yet?
I notice the immature fruits have a very fine pubescence, unlike the common grumixama if I recall correctly.
let's hope each fruit has at least 2 nice seeds!! and they taste sweet!
