Hey Everyone!

Sorry I've been gone lately, been extremely busy with my new school! I absolutely love it!

Anyway, my Smooth Surinam Cherry tree is going off right now, I have to go up to the tree once or even twice everyday to make sure I can get all of the fruit before insects or birds! Fruits are smoother than ever... even less of a ridge on any of the fruits than the first time it fruited. Taste is sweet, and honey tasting as usual.

Saving up for a new greenhouse so hopefully I can make part of the cut :P.

Refer to http://tropicalfruitforum.com/index.php?topic=10866.0 for pictures and more information.

Im going to put these up for trade and sale.

Is this smooth Variety call the Champa Surinam Jack? I got some plant from a nursery in California last year, and they told me its smooth skin.  How big does your Smooth skin Surinam get?😃

Hey Coconut,

Fruits have gotten pretty big so far, the biggest I have seen so far are almost ping-pong ball size. Seeds aren't that big in relation to flesh ratio either. This smooth variety is unnamed. I bought it from Norman and IDK where he got it from. There is no grafting scars on the tree either so I'm guessing it was started from seed.

Jack, Ping Pong Ball size!  😆👀🎾Wow that is impressive, I have been looking for a fifty cent size suriname cherry for a long time! Can you take a foto of the fruit next to a ping pong!  I am interest in purchase or trade!  If you can look under the tree and see if a scion rooted comming from the tree root, I would like to trade or buy which ever you prefer for my breeding.  I thought the Boca Vividia was the biggest black suriname discovered this year in my friend backyard; but a large red bigger than Lovrer Red Surinam from Montoso Garden; I am enthrall to add to my expanding Surinam collection.  You should name this Variety as Surinam Jack or Jack's Tomato; Jack!😃👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Update: Parents were both working today and I wasn't able to go to the post office. definitely shipping out seeds tomorrow.

Thanks!

p.s For those of you who I have already boxed up your seeds (Coconut, Bonman, Barath, etc.) I am keeping them on a heat mat and they are in a moist medium.

Didnot know there is a freeze hitting southern cal, these seeds are hardy as long as they stay moist.  No need to cook them with heat mat as long as they are at room temp will be fine.😃

Everyone who inquired before today, I sent out the packages today, (Barath, Pramant, Jack, Don, Jeff).

Lots more still available, sending out another round on Monday. I am sending a FEW scions this week and will send more as the tree stops fruiting.

I will send a message to those who are already on the scion pre-order list.

Hey Guys!

Just took some pic's, here they are :

Fruit next to quarter

Close up of a few fruits

The tree

While the tree is fruiting the leaves have a reddish hue to them, and it makes the tree look very pretty.

It is kind of funny how the fruits start off as being ribbed but as they come closer to ripening the ribs smooth out.
