Closing the sale in 2 hours! If you want the seedlings, you must pay latest noon EST. I won't be able to process shipments after that.

I just went over to the house to do more grafting and the Sylvia guava tree still had more new fruits on it. The photos of the green fruits above that I showed are all gone, I think the squirels ate them all. So I picked some of the large green fruits this time so I can let it ripen and get the seeds to plant. I could have had a lot of seeds if I picked off all those green large fruits last time I was there. It's ok, I have over 100 seeds that I'm germinating now.

fanshiliu, thank you for posting these photos of the Carmine guava. If you can translate in English any of your comments that would be nice.

I have not seen these Carmine guava photos so your pictures are appreciated, thanks.

I think there were a few other TFF members that mention this to me as well. It sure does look very similar to the guava fruit you posted, I'm excited to see this.

The person who has this large tree (height about 17 feet) told me his relative brought the tree from Taiwan. He has 2 trees, his tree and one more at another house.

So far, for me this guava is my favorite of all of the ones I have eaten. Still did not taste the frutis from JF (Frank) pnk/red flesh guava called Delores and Jalisco. My grafted branches of this one is still growing slow and may not get a fruit on it for another year. If anyone else (besides Brad) is growing Frank's guava, please post some photos of it here so I can see what it looks like. I surprised that not many if anyone else has Frank's guava fruiting yet.

Lujan and Campo Ramon looked the best out of my Plinias during winter.  Barely even dropped a couple leaves at most.

See! That's what I have read about the Lujan. I was hoping I could put it in the ground with some protection.

Thank you all for your insights on this topic. @Jaboticaba45, I have a DongKui Yangmei, do you suppose this one could make it out there?
Mine died when it went below 15f.
Well it didn't die right away as I was saying, but that started its decline.
If you can keep temps above 20, you should be chilling!

Don't remember my source, but we'll get back to the subject in a few years (hopefully).

Thanks to Patrick and CookieMonster, the email function works again on the forum. Now everyone should get email alerts when they get a PM or other forum email.

If there's something else not working, please let us know in this thread so we can try to it fixed.

Thanks. 👍

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Nangka mini jackfruit in the USA?
« Last post by Reedo on Today at 09:10:16 AM »
Has anyone successfully fruited Nangka mini in the USA? I’d be interested in growing out some seed  or purchasing a grafted plant if anyone has some available.

Meiwa is the best by far.  It can be picked while still half ripe an have a sweet peel with a somewhat sour flesh.  You can leave it on the tree until orange for a sweet interior.  The Nagami, Fukushu, Nippon, and Indio need to stay on the plant till fully ripe to have a goo tasting peel.
