Tropical Fruit Discussion / Is there an update on Microkote?
« on: January 19, 2017, 08:01:50 PM »
I am wondering if members are using Microkote for their containers There were articles about that. I like to know if you have a large, thick rootball how would you up pot and get new soil in that rootball if it is too dense?

I got a picture here of a Roya Brillianti persimmon next to an apple. I don't have any issues, works. Make sure files are not too big. Newer camera's have large amount of pixels.

Evil, depending on the size of the tree roja brillianti can be a large fruit. I have about 12 tree's growing. Here is a small tree.

JF,i would like to use this tree to graft a couple varieties from your collection if anyway possible, appreciate your help come spring,Bob.

I have a Mr. Minh atemoya growing, i believe it is 3 years old and growing very fast. It is currently growing under light in my shop.
It is in full leaf now. The tree is 9 ft wide and 7 ft tall. When do you strip the leaves off and prune the tree. Last spring on advise from a member i pruned the tree pretty good and as you can see it is big again.

Make sure you do not overwater and make sure your ph water is around 6-6.5. I use small ph paper strips you can buy. I think they are 100 for about 10 dollars

Citrus General Discussion / Where is Joe Real?
« on: January 09, 2017, 01:51:16 PM »
I have a kumquat seedling tree that i started about 4 years ago and is now 8 feet tall, mainly strong upright branches.Joe has a tree with 57 different grafts on it at last count. I just want to know if he is done with the tree or how the tree is doing, including Joe himself. I like to add about 5 or 6 on mine. This is all against any advise of doing multy grafts. PLease chime in.Bob.

Millet, i did not take them, i got the smallest citrus variety on this forum but i might have the largest Asian type persimmons tree's growing, pretty good stuff. I use to have about a dozen different varieties, now down to four, about 30 tree's.It is more than enough.
