I'm trying to do a group order from a jabuticaba breeders third generation, I'm doing this to reduce shipping costs which for an individual buying few seeds would be 75 regular mail, this is because his farm is 250 hectares and after that is more than hour drive to post office
1-I would coordinate the orders
2 - each individual would pay directly to Brazilian grower paypal and then confirmed with me
3-each parcel will go to each individual address either certificate or EMS as each choose
This Jabuticaba are very hard to get even in Brazil and they confirmed that they are breeded for precocious, these are part of the conversation with him : These ones are all quite precious. We do not work with average breeding, but normally the higher the price more precious it is.
Even in Brazil it is not easy to find these Jabuticabas, we are collecting them for more than 30 years already. Our grandfather is an agriculture engineer and started it, and we are already the third generation working in the collection.

The minimum order is 15 seeds, the only one not available is branca de Mel gigante, and Sapucaia is only 15 seeds available, first come first serve

Since I'm having no profit out of this and only acting as intermediary I'm not taking claims for lost or confiscated parcels either in Brazil or receiving countries, everyone joining this order knows it's own risks

tempting, but my question would be is, although we don't know the final per seed price, but what kind of prices we looking at potentially? sorry if too vague? also, does anyone know the typical ship time from Brazil to the states? And would that be long enough for germination of the seeds in transit? i got burned last time with some stuff from indonesia.

The timeline is going to be the end of this week, as far as customs every body who has purchased seeds in the past know that there is always a risk..

Escarlate is a hibrid of Aureana x red jabo,
Paulista is a selection of profr,Otto Andersen in jis selection for rhe best 12 brasilian jabuticabas,not sure if was bred or not,regards

Raul, if he is in Brazil, all the seller from Brazil told me they must ship with boxes can't ship with envelope anything that is not paper and they all quoted me 30-35 usd(probably different for each region? don't know). So I doubt you can get it for lower than 30.

This is the info they share about Z4:
Regarding the Z4 it is an hybrid of the normal jabuticaba. The fruit have a superior taste and seeds are relatively smaller. Productivity is also better than average. Sorry for the delay on replying, I was out of the office.

High seed shipping cost is worth paying if it means importing a variety into the U.S that's never been grown here before or is extremely rare. We need the rarer jabuticaba's to ease the insane craving of all of us jabuticaba junkies.

My mail also left on May 25 and on May 31 they left Brasil for the country of their destination. But they still have not arrived and tracking number does not say that they have arrived in the USA, but I have another problem because the final destination of the package is Puerto Rico and they put Porto Rico, I think mine package is going to be difficult for them to arrive .

Also curious when someone received their order. Give us a shout out. Mine was shipped around June 4th... the tracking number says in customs from about a week ago and not trackable since... or at least that's what the translation of the page says.

Finally got my order! It had definitely been open a few times, but all was intact, including my permits. Most seeds were pre-germinated and in excellent condition. The only ones that did not make it were the Z4, which I'll contact them about. Def will be ordering from them again.

Just wanted to chime in that I collected my resent package today (it actually came in on the 18th of August). It left Brazil on the 10th. I honestly forgot about it and the USPS notice to "pick up at the post office" didn't state where it was from. In any event, I was pleasantly surprised to see the post-officer come walking out with the yellow and white Correios box and suspected it was the seeds. 38 of 40 seeds were already sprouted with dense root structure (given the size) formed. Even fewer seedling roots had white delicate tips, but time will tell who survived. The packaging was excellent, neat and labelled. Real professional. A++

Just wanted to chime in that I collected my resent package today (it actually came in on the 18th of August). It left Brazil on the 10th. I honestly forgot about it and the USPS notice to "pick up at the post office" didn't state where it was from. In any event, I was pleasantly surprised to see the post-officer come walking out with the yellow and white Correios box and suspected it was the seeds. 38 of 40 seeds were already sprouted with dense root structure (given the size) formed. Even fewer seedling roots had white delicate tips, but time will tell who survived. The packaging was excellent, neat and labelled. Real professional. A++

I also tried contacting Adhemar Gomes da Silva several times via email but got no reply so far. Hope his site will soon finish being re-constructed.

Got to meet Adhemar during my trip in November. Nice fellow. And has great collection of so many types of jaboticabas. Will try to post photos later.
