Has anyone ever grew seeds from those fruits to fruiting?  Any change in # of years to fruit?  If so, how many years?  Anyone tried these in a container?  Think a 30 gallon/half 55 gallon drum would suffice?  Just the size and weight of the fruit make me wonder if fruiting in a container would be more difficult compared to the typical Rollinia or maybe the tree would just require another year or two?  Hope I'm not being too noobish but still new to some of this.  Thanks

There has been a bit of selection going on here as well with top ones varying from smooth to sputnik and some look just the same as the pictured ones.

I can see seven small fruit on my potted seedling Rollinia right now. This is it's third year from seed, always been in a pot. I'll take a pic if interested. The pot measures 18inches across, I think, will confirm if interested. By the way, all my polyhouse potted plants are in a hydroponic (soil-less) culture.

Could you give more description? I've never tasted one before and I hear it's delicious and sweet, but what's it like?

Honestly it's pretty amazing. Very smooth silky soft Texture you can easily spoon out.  It's very sweet and also tart.  Many described it like lemon meringue pie.  I would agree with this.   It's truly Like a dessert.  But with just enough acid to be refreshing too.  One of my absolute favorite fruits.  And hard to come by even in Hawaii.

They are a premier Annona group fruit with a lemony taste.Good varieties seem to be dominating these days and the huge diversity of form isn't reflected in diversity of taste as they taste pretty similar whether they are smooth or rough,a big type or small. They should be eaten a little under ripe as they can be a bit slimey when over ripe. The are all mucosa these days and deliciosa was a false species as they are so variable in form.

Hi guys. Sorry no graft wood available.

BUT I HAVE MORE SEEDS AVAILABLE!!  If you are not growing Rollinia you definitely should!  This is one of the best fruits out there. I recently gave some to my tenants and they both prefer Rollinia to even cherimoya and atemoya.  (They are all delicious to me). But Rollinia has a nice refreshing smoothness that's unbeatable.   Come get em!  $1 seed.

Got 'em yesterday, thanks.  Any tips on germinating them?  I usually do cold storage in the crisper for a while and then plant the seed sideways.  I figure it knows better than I which way to go.
