« on: May 09, 2016, 03:59:14 PM »
Hi!

I have pouteria campechiana and pouteria lucuma plants growing, but I don't like the taste and texture. I also have pouteria caimito germinating. Is pouteria sapota worth a try? Are any other good flavoured species? I don't want to waste time with anythig similar to p. campechiana or p. lucuma!

Thank you,

Hi!

After so many years looking for this berry plants, I will finally get hold of some! It is a typical but day by day rarer berry found in Portugal, and also in some locations in Spain and France, that in the past was used to make jams but also eaten out of hand.

I am not the author of the photo, the author is indicated bellow:

Hi all! Have fresh seeds from solanum quitoense and acca sellowiana to trade for other seeds of my interest.

The largest fruits of acca sellowiana I have ever seen! They should be well ripen before consumption.

Fruits of lulo/naranjilla (solanum quitoense), sour but tasty fruit from South America. The taste reminds me of lime and yellow passionfruit.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Can this be a gac plant?
« on: November 16, 2014, 06:14:43 AM »
Hi freinds!

Can this be a gac plant? It took almost three years to germinate in Portugal. The plant has tendrils to climb and grab itself to other plants or whatever.

Thanks a lot!

Joćo
