Hi there!
I came across this tree with really interesting fruit while cycling in Taipei.
Ripe:

Unripe far:

Given the way all the juicy bits seem to protrude, I think a lot of them were attracting bugs. I was tempted to try it but I wasn't sure if it would be poisonous or not. I reached up to grab one and it squished really easily in my hand, getting my hand pretty wet with juice. I licked a tiny bit of it and it seemed sweet, but like I said - too scared to try more. I'm pretty interested, I've never seen a fruit like that before, almost looked like a raspberry, but with each little nodule extending out independently.
Does anyone know what this is?
Thanks!
