Title: Air Layered persimmon
Post by: zephian on April 12, 2019, 04:14:28 PM
Does persimmon air layer well?
I have a very large Fuyu persimmon I'd like to clone and give to the original owner of the tree.
How well do these trees air layer and when should I expect them to produce?

Thanks!

From what i read ,its impossible to do that with kaki and youl have to graft onto eyther D.Kaki or D.Lotus rootstock.I have a Jiro and i was interested to propagate it by air layering too.

Nothing is impossible!!! You have to have the right time of season and use the right type of rooting hormone or gel...
