Yes, it's a great deal compared to what local nurseries sell. I've got two 8# bags myself.

I'm now a small grower too doing a greenhouse and vineyard, the former getting these prills.  Don't know what I'm going to do with 50#.  Guess I'll cut it up and sell it 10# at a time to growers at our scion exchange meetings and use some in my veggie garden.

I use it (or something similar) on everything newly planted in the field and on my permanent trees in the greenhouse.  They get it or else. Citrus, mango, annona, pineapples (soil only), avocado, herbs.......

Helped my cousin plant a bunch of trees at his new house.  Each tree got a handful scratched into the soil upon planting completion.

Helluva buy, cheapest I've ever seen it.

Note to self, always place a 50# bag of Osmocote in a box before opening it.  Took me an hour to get all the prills up, about 40# fell out while I had my back turned.  Weeks later I'm still finding prills that rolled 30' away.

Fer sure.  Damn stuff even rolled under the dishwasher.  Stuff is worse than marbles.

Considering I keep mine (and all my expensive chemicals and fertilizers) in a wine cellar that's cooled by a 10,000 BTW A/C unit, probably forever because of the low RH.

Store in a hall closet.

I have a bag left in an unfinished garage and the package won't reseal perfectly and I've been to lazy to move it to something air tight.
Still looks brand new after almost a year of storage (we don't really get any humidity)
