pictures and print are all good but it is all about "tricks of the trade" that give yo the extremely high sucess rate.  The successful t-budders are not giving up the tricks either.

I am sure with enough experimentation one can find a high success rate.

I've seen that PDF too, but thanks for reposting it Stephen...
Unless you're talking higher scale, there's no way an absolute novice fruit enthusiast like myself will come close to the pros regardless however long I'm at it.  I can only raise less than a handful of rootstocks to use as "practice" and considering growth rate of mangos in CA, it's ridiculously long a wait compared to FL.

Question for experts. On Roses all the videos I saw talk about T-Budding, not inverted T budding. What is the difference in the two (inverted vs non-inverted) in terms of graft take? Will T-Budding be better than Inverted T-budding? or it doesnt matter?

Doesn't really make a difference either way. Inverted or non-inverted, their success rate is basically the same. With T budding what is really crucial is the level of skill and experience of the person doing the T bud.

It sounds great theoretically because of its efficiency but for people with only a couple rootstocks to work with at home, it is not the best method unless you have experience with it.

I am getting my hands clean on my 48 roses T-budding everywhere, after I got several cleft grafts and few bark grafts. I think its better to learn now before messing up with my mangoes that are next in line (waiting for scion).

Anyway, grafting has been a lot of fun and I got to prove to my wife that its well worth the effort  :-[
