Mangosteen seeds are high perishable. How do you pack them?
Thanks

I'd be interested but just afraid they wouldnt make it. had bad luck with mangosteen in the past. any idea how long it takes to arrive to east coast of US?
-
Hi
Question for mike @msk0072 what do you suggest is best method of seeding seeding for periods of 2-4 weeks.
Or direct me to discussion on this web board
I am in Borneo.
Thanks
Keem
-
Sorry bad typing i mean sending seeds
-
The best method is to send them in moist vermiculite. For each teaspoon of vermiculite add 5 to 7 drops of water. I store my mangosteen seeds like this and they sprout even after 2months!
-
Thank you much appreciated
-
I store the seeds of purple mangosteen from Borneo about 3 weeks only in paper tissue with few drops of water and now I have the nice seedlings. 8)
-
Interesting
thank you
-
Thanks to all my buyers much appreciated.
Season closing and not much fruit about all shipped off to China.
I still have some mangosteen seeds but will finish soon
So if you are after some good cheap very fresh seeds get them soon
thanks
Stu

From my experience : Vermiculite works well if not too wet. Just a few drops of water. A disinfection with hydrogen peroxide before packing helps also. This method works well for all kind of seeds
-
TFSO,
Why does your website look exactly the same as the forum user Borne-indo? What is the deal with that?
-
I have ordered some mango seeds. I didn't get a confirmation email I hope it goes well
To TFSO : What do you know about my order?
-
Same , I did not get confirmation or tracking number?
-
TFSO is active in the forum but will not answer
-
Who else ordered from him?
-
I also bought seeds from this website https://malaythai-fruit-seeds-from-the-tropics.network/, (https://malaythai-fruit-seeds-from-the-tropics.network/,) and had a good mailcontact with a man called Stu.
When I ordered and checked out I was redirected via Paypal to http://thai-market.online (http://thai-market.online)
I have had a trackingnumber on wednesday but I still can't track it.
You guys are making me afraid because now I checked http://thai-market.online (http://thai-market.online) and see that it's not an existing website.
I will contact Stu and ask him what's going on. And if I can't track my order this week, I will open a dispute.
I will keep you guys informed.
-
I ordered seeds as well, then I noticed both websites appear to be the same.
If we can't get this cleared up soon, I will have to delete all of both accounts posts.

Colleagues, at these prices I never risk more than 10-20 USD for the first time. That's what I took a chance this time. The fact that decent seeds are often 5-10 times more expensive does not change the form of things that in this case there may be ordinary theft. Probably if we refer to this post (and indicate as the reason for the request a refund - no shipping and no contact with the seller) paypal will give us the payment without any problems. If it is confirmed that we fell victim of theft, it is a request to admin to moderate entries (only partial covering addresses) and put a warning (and not to delete) because not everyone can make a copy of the offer page on the forum and we will not have anything to call with paypal.

My mail server provides a message that the seller's address @thai-market.online does not exist. Besides, I remembered that there was/is a cheater in this area. I even kept 2 packages for archiving. See for yourself it might be the same person (similar email in their shop and on fake package @thai-market.online and ThailandMrk(http://www.forum-ogrodnicze.oleander.pl/licziTMKT1.JPG)
Maybe it's the same person or maybe not. In the lychee packet, he sent me a dry longan (suitable for rubbish) and many other trash-seeds. I have checked this seller many times (different species), he sending old, dryed seeds every time. They never sprouting. Only nice packaging+ old seeds. He sells on eBay at its best. Probably cheated a few hundred people or more. People give feedback for a nice, colored package. In the end, to warn others I gave him a negative opinion and regained most of the losses, but people are still taking that seeds on. Be cautious, he can sell from different accounts. Skip him away!

TFSO took the maney and disappeared A cheater from Thailand. His webite is fake must be closed soon

Before we start jumping to conclusions, let's give the seller a few more days to respond.

Ok you are right. And please don't delete this thread.
-
Any update from the suspicious seller? haha!
-
Msk, there is no response yet.
Probably an avalanche of mud has cut off the "seller" cable internet connection and destroyed its seed stocks. I'm guessing that as soon as the service restores his connection, he'll let us know everything, including the fact that he lost our payments...;)

I made a purchase a while back on ebay from a "beautyladyinfo". I received foil packs of seeds that looked like those that Domnik got. I am not absolutely certain that the company name on the packs was the same but I think so. I got Baccaurea kunstleri and Melodorum fruticosum seeds that have not germinated yet & I have little hope for. However, I also got some Kadsura sp. seeds where I have had 11 out of 15 germinate and I suspect that more may still germinate. If I recall correctly, all seeds seemed somewhat dry when I got them but I soaked them in water until most of them sunk. I can't say I am pleased with the results but the cost of the seeds was low so I am "ok" with this particular experience. Probably best to steer clear of these sellers as Domnik suggests. However cheap seeds is not a guarantee of bad seeds or a bad seller any more than expensive seeds guarantees a good experience. At least you don't feel as bad getting crap seeds that are cheap as opposed to getting gouged on seeds that are still crap.
Since it seems like no one has reported getting their orders from this TSFO guy, it is probably now reasonable to assume that he was just a crook.

He was active as of 7:30pm this evening on the forum. He's reading this, and he's not responding for a week now. Conclusion: hes a scammer. Just like the guy who used to sell the giant yellow dragon fruit seeds, but never showed his plants or sold cuttings. He disappeared from his own thread for over a year now and despite being called out by me, spaugh and others a few times, never responded. And yet he's active on this forum often. He was on two weeks ago
I think we need a sticky thread at the top with any and all info we have regarding known and suspected scammers. Of course, we don't want to incriminate anyone hastily, so of course, the accused can have their opportunity to present their case and have their name removed. Thoughts anyone? A perm-thread to warn forum users about known scam artists?
BTW: the name of the dragon fruit guy was Carlos Batista who goes by "DragonFruit101" and lives in Kissimmee. Has a facebook page but I won't post here. Here's his last thread: http://tropicalfruitforum.com/index.php?topic=26031.msg323392#msg323392 (http://tropicalfruitforum.com/index.php?topic=26031.msg323392#msg323392)
He got run off of a Dragon Fruit Growers facebook group because of all of the salty former customers on there.

I usually start with a very small order to test out new sellers, after not getting a response from the seller in question I flagged the transaction with paypal and got the refund from seller the very next day. I am taking my order else where, If it's too good to be true, then it probably is.
-
I sent TFSO a private message last week. No response yet.

I fully agree! I also got seeds from DragonFruit101 nothing special.

I made a purchase a while back on ebay from a "beautyladyinfo".
John, I also came across this person. She sent me one or twice moldy, dry, light and empty durian seeds. From what I remember when I started a substantive polemics, she quickly changed her nickname on eBay so that I could not give a negative opinion and warn others.

A great idea Kalan. It could work well until someone changes the company name, nickname or moves the page, but if the Admin agrees, that's all we can do. Just like the list of good nurseries, the case of dishonest / bad sellers should be arranged in one place. Only there are many such cases and we probably would not like to read daily about how someone robbed someone. I do not know what Admin thinks about it, and whether it is technically to be done in this forum but it would be good if that/ this warning thread will be always on top. That entry in such a warning thread would never appear on the main page as the last entry. Then, whoever would like to read - he could be there, and the discussion about theft and scams would not dominate other topics.
-
imo, established vendors should have dedicated 'list' on the forum for those professional vendors with websites. in exchange for a modest fee of course.

Where is Stu or Steve? Now Thailand is getting a bad reputation.
-
We are now a week further and I have not heard from Stu. Also the tracking number is still not available. I now know enough and am going to get my money back through Paypal. Hopefully we can prevent others from placing orders from him and getting into the same situation.

Tracking does not work well in thailand.
I just ordered from Hongkong, always got tracking from them which worked untill in thailand but now it didn't work at all...but the courier came in time, without a companyname on his clothes/motorbike, the signaturecomputer also didn't work but the package was fine.
Just wait....Stu can't help it that the post is no good.

He even didn't answer the PayPal team in 10 days. Today PayPal mailed me that they will refund me.
-
And he was active on this forum last night at 8pm. That’s all anyone needs to know. File fraud with PayPal.
-
His website must be closed soon

This is a scam, definitely a crook.
