Any Wax Jambu growers?

(1/1)

Dirtygardenerjax:
I currenttly have Syzygium Megacarpum, Green/White Syzygium Aqueum, Syzygium malaccense. anybody have any luck getting them to fruit? They are all seed grown. Three of the trees should be bearing fruit now.

quesofreshcoh:
I have a Stinark Red Wax Jambu I bought from a nursery which is supposedly grafted, and I have had it less than a year it already has little fruits forming. Are your trees in pots? if you are in Jacksonville I would like to know how you got your malaccense to survive! I am in the Orlando area and it is too cold here for them, mine died during the first winter because it just did not tolerate the cold. But, yes, they do grow here and I am not sure how they would do there, but if you got S. malaccense to survive in the cold I'm sure you can grow a jambu! I have yet to taste the fruits for mine :)

SeaWalnut:
I have a wax jambu grafted ( from cuttings).
So far it seems to be more cold hardy than tropical pink guava in my greenhouse

Luisport:
I have one syzygium samarangense var. Tubtim Chandra. It's on ground but recent so didn't pass by winter yet.
