trees at home depot

They have 7 gal sapote, loquat, strawberry guava, pineapple guava, and fig trees for $20. Don't know how good a deal that is to people, but figured I'd post anyway.

Thanks for the report, a lot of times they have hard to find quality, unusual and exotic fruit trees.

I just picked up a 'honey heart' cherimoya for $29. It's a 3 foot tall whip but for the price what could I expect

Not to make you even madder, mwaterman,  :), but the HD I went to yesterday had an El Bumpo, and 2 Honey Hearts. They were all sticks. I don't have room in my yard anymore, so I had to pass, but the El Bumpo is still haunting me.

If you don't see something you like/want, just ask to talk to the garden/plant manager to special order for you on their next order from that supplier. Usually, HD/Lowes get their subtropic fruit plants from Laverne nursery in So Ca. They'll most likely order for nothing, since they are going to be ordering from the supplier anyway. I've already talked to my local HD and they'll be glad to order something for me next Spring season.
