what's in season in Florida right now?
« on: April 09, 2019, 04:40:43 PM »
I'm from California and visiting a friend in about 2 weeks was wondering what's in season right now.  He is located in Pensacola but willing to ship stuff to his house if there isn't anything close by.
If there isn't where is a good place to order to get it mailed?

Thanks in advance

This is what I can find in my garden:
Bananas, papayas, mango Rosigold almost ended first wave (sliced and on a plate right now), still few carambolas, wax jambu plenty, sabara jaboticaba, red hybrid jaboticaba, plinia aureana, myrciaria glazioviana, pitangatuba, miracle fruit, eugenia uniflora, pitomba, cherry of rio grande, grumichama almost ready, sapodillas plenty, mulberry, blackberry jam fruit, pineapples, pomegranates starting, few black sapote left, eugenia pyriformis, coconuts, lemon drop mangosteen, lemon season is ending, limes plenty, Valencia oranges, cacao fruit one or two left, acerola, blueberries, lychees will start in 2-3 weeks.

Depends on where in FL. In Central I have Mulberries, blueberries and an apple here and there, I see loquats that aren't in my yard. Citrus, mango, Surinam cherries, jujube, melon berry, all-spice, persimmon, lychee are in fruitlet or bloom stage and quite a few things including mango, figs, pecan, jujube, other apples, are still waking up.
