I was thinking he cold and rain did something to the fruits. They were watery and tasted bland.

I ate 3 of each fruit, but I was still able to go back and eat more later. In the past, 2 pieces of each fruit and I had some difficulty towards the end of the varieties. It was that sweet.

Something tells me you got a nice surprise from Peter too, Rob. And don't know about you, but I think Peter has a better crop this year compared to last year in terms of quality.

I spit out Nata and Santa Rosa.
...

This year Peter's Santa Rosa is up there with El Bumpo and Pierce in terms of taste and size. It has a perfect balance of sweet and tart with a little bit of chewy texture that I personally like. This is also my first Santa Rosa over 1 lb. Growing condition and timely picking matter.

Kudos to Peter he grows the best cherimoyas around!

Peter has the most consistently high quality Cherimoyas around. It's better than Christmas when I open up one of his boxes because I never know what other surprises he might throw in there. I hope he expands his orchard because I know there is always a lot of demand for his fruit and not enough supply. I felt so special when I got on his list.

Big shout out to all the volunteers at this years tasting. I wasnt able to make it but I really appreciate that they hold these free events to inform people of this amazingly delicious fruit!

Some fruit that we picked recently, we let them hang out a little longer on the tree this year. The one I'm holding in my hand was the biggest one we've ever had and it weighed in a little over a pound:
