Please reply on this post, if I see around 5-10 people interested then I will air-layer some to be sold next year.

My Brewster tree is over 30 years old, get tons of fruit (50 pounds ?) every year. Tastes good, seeds are big.

Sale would be to lower 48 states. Price is TBD for now.

I will posts some photos of the fruits I harvested over the weekend, and some tree photos as well.

I hate to rain on anyone's parade but I feel that I must add my opinion to this.  Just so everyone knows an air layer that has been freshly removed from a tree is very delicate.  Ideally it should be placed in a green house with most of it's leaves removed until it can grow more root mass to support the foliage.  If you don't have a green house you will need to put it in full shade and mist it several times a day.  A clear plastic bag with many small holes in it placed over the plant will help to hold humidity.  Even doing all this does not guarantee survival.  I'm not trying to ruin the sellers post but I think it is important for buyers to understand what they are going to receive.  There seams to be a large interest in this post that I don't understand.  This is a very common type of Lychee that can be bought in So Cal at many nurseries or even off Craig's List.  A freshly removed air layer is worth way less than a well rooted growing healthy plant.  Again I'm not trying to ruin what this seller has going.  I just want to make sure everyone understand what they are going to receive.

I did actually buy two types of lychee last weekend at Champa (emperor and mauritius), and Brewster was available. They were not cheap, I admit. Especially the large one.

The prices are imo, pretty fair, for the size of the branch sold. You'd be paying $125+ for the big ones, and $95+ for the small ones at Champa. Kaz has priced well considering. If mine takes, I'm a happy camper, but I do deeply appreciate the tips on the tips.

Thanks for the input. I still plan on buying the air layer because if it does succeed it would bring me lots of happiness. As far as caring for it, what would you suggest if I do not have a green house?

Gonzo, it appears you are in Florida. If the air layer survives shipping to you I would suggest planting it in a three gallon pot with well draining soil. Since Florida is very humid you would probably be fine keeping it in full shade until it has a growth flush. After the growth flush hardens off you can move it to full sun.
