Tropical Fruit Discussion / tamarrillo tree freaking out
« on: July 29, 2014, 01:38:40 AM »
My tamarrillo has an abnornally large crop, and the fruit has stopped growing and is turning red while still undersized. Is this a case of simply too many fruit that i should have thinned, or something else?

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Willow water in bucket propogator?
« on: July 24, 2014, 07:40:33 PM »
Would that be overkill? Wondering if anyone's tried that yet to root cuttings. I have a friend with a great tasting barbados cherry whos going to give me several cuttings to propagate.  I know it's not necissary, but... might be fun it see if they root fast. :) Anyone tried this?

I like to graze on the way to work  ;D
This is my new hedge. I'm hoping in a couple years it'll fill out nicely. Grumi, feijoa, lingaro, goumi, goji, varigated silverberry, autumn olive, a small black beauty mulberry, and a few creeping carpet raspberries.

Hi, I have a one year old plant about 4 ft tall now that I got from Logees last year, that has been puting out dozens of flowers, but with no fruit set. I've tried hand pollinating but cant seem to find anything powdery or pollin-like on the anthers. Is there a trck to these? Does anyone have experience with fruiting this? Thanks :)
