Tart strawberries and blueberries are fun. Having a beer after miracle fruit is also quite interesting.

Neither my wife of myself are big drinkers so we enjoy pairing it with champagne.  We raved so much about it that another couple tried it who were big drinkers and called us in a huff.  Seemingly, if you enjoy the taste of alcohol, this is a terrible mix but for those who would prefer overly sweet grape juice that gets you drunk, it is a fine combination.  I also enjoy paring it with tomato soup!

I have paired it with beer and for me it iwas one of those things that you do once and that's it. For me the best pairing was last year when Noel gave me Lemon Drop and Miracle fruit at the plant sale. Very nice pairing.

I tried raw and unsweetened cooked rhubarb recently and it was delicious.  Limes and not-quite-ripe blackberries are still my favorites though.

Dongeorgio, I had a similar experience. I took some fruit to a party, and didn't realise how profound the effect of the fruit would be. The terribly expensive champagne tasted like a $3 cheapy , the beer tasted odd, and even smokers were telling me their cigarettes didn't taste right. Most saw the funny side, but not all... ;)   I still get ribbed about it, and am told not to bring anything unusual again.  :)

The tastiest pairings to me are berries and citrus.

Try MF with the super tarties, like tropical apricot, araza, camu camu, etc.

Calamondin orange is delicious after MF, as is Barbados Cherry. Also, tart cocktails without sugar become a low-calorie treat.

Had a miracle berry party at my house one day and the following were served:
strawberries=strawberry shortcake
Lime=sweet lime-ade
Lemon=sweet lemonade
blueberries=blueberry pie filling
Sambuca/Ouzo= black licorice candy
White wine(semi-dry) = sugary glaze for donuts
The most impressive to me was the Sambuca---- mainly because I don't like it and I couldn't believe it tasted like candy!!!

commercially, aside from pills, they also serve in some restaurants here, mostly after meal and before dessert, you get this and it "resets" the tastebuds they say for better tasting  dessert.

a popsicle is also made from it.

eating enough berries will literally, and strongly, make air sweet.  breathing through the mouth can give you candygasms without eating anything.

The petals of Carambola flowers are excellent with miracle fruit!

They have a delicious tartness that's very good to add in salads, or as a garnish.

Is your air sour there?  :o I've eaten loads of MF at one sitting and the air was just air.

Passionfruit and lemons or limes or lemons and limes squeezed over anything you want sweeter like strawberries or dragonfruit.

I've only ever tried them with lemons - instant lemonade!!

After sampling a miracle berry (and forgetting all about it), my hubby went to taste a lilly pilly fruit at the hedging section of our favourite nursery.  It was funny to see him trying to convince me to buy a tree until I reminded him why it tasted as good as it did!  We still laugh about it now.  ;D

After discovering how good "yucky" drinks at the clubs tasted with a little help from the miracle berry, my niece now wants all my berries as soon as they ripen!

MF is good with all citrus not just sour lemons or limes. Try it with oranges or tangerines or kumquats for the sweetest you've ever had.

keep in mind there are still the calories in the alcohol itself, with nothing added.

Just watch out you don't make yourselves sick. You can eat too many yellow mangosteen, lemons or limes and hammer your stomach.  :(

The only way I can enjoy surinam cherry is after eating miracle fruit.

Last summer I ate some lychee afterwards and almost passed out on how sweet it was.

fresh fruits are much more potent...supposedly one berry has enough miraculin for 30 people!

Yeah, if only good ol' MF would lower acidity too. If anything, it makes it worse. After popping an MBerry tablet and eating lemons and limes and grapefruit, my mouth is on fire  :P

Another thing, is there much of a difference between the effect of freeze dried tablets and the actual fruit?
