Jaboticaba has recalcitrant seeds. So, it don't resists for long time.
Read the Abstract: http://www.scielo.br/scielo.php?pid=S0100-29452011000100030&script=sci_arttext.

Grumixama has the same problem, but I have success seedling after I received the seeds still inside the fruits. So, I think it can be an option for you to have viable seeds of jaboticabas.

It's all about packing. Seeds I order are never shorter than one month shipping and normally sprouted and alive if packed nicely. Jabuticaba seeds survive fine in moist cocopeat other moist mediums probably fine too but with vermiculite and perlite there is always mold for me cocopeat I think must suppress mold or something. Theobroma and Durio is another story never have any survive
