Thank you Millet. So that means when the fruit needs to ripen or just year round?

127
Thank you Ilya11, this is helpful information. I have recently bought two valentines and it would be sad not to get them ripening because of temperature or sunshine. May I ask how you keep your valentine in winter? I'm bringing them all in with artificial light and temps between low 60's at night and depending of sunshine ( one east and one south window in that room) temp can go to 78 or so. If I would need it to go 83 or higher, I would need to put either a heater in that room or get the trees in the kitchen where it will be warmer during the day.

This is very interesting. We are talking about year round temperatures or just in summer? Is it only for the oranges and grapefruits that require those temps?
I have not had fruits on my oranges yet but my tangelos were very sweet, some fruits on my Trovita and sure would love them to get sweet.

This brings me to the question if the valentine, (or any other citrus for that matter) does not need a break from active growing?
I always thought temps around 60 to 70 would be enough for winter months.

Citrus General Discussion / seedles??

If a fruit is described as seedless variety, does that mean it is really seedless or just very view seeds? How can we produce a seedless variety if there are no seeds? Maybe thinking too much.

could be manganese deficiency?
What fertilizer do you use?

136
I think you can not send to USA right? But how about seeds from the Trabut? I would love to try :)

awesome. and the blood lime?
Just adding that they always will be in a container. Winter in the house. Hopefully a nice greenhouse in three or four years.

Laaz if I would buy the fast trifoliate, could I then graft the blood lime or blood clementine on it? Or what else to use?
I have Meyer, Oro, Valentine, ST Feminnello, Kieffer, Variegated pink, Minneola, Cara, Moro Persian, Trovita and Satsuma. All on dwarf root stock.
No commercial grower just hobby :)

Totally late but would love to try the blood clementine or blood lemon. Will there be more offering? Maybe even cuttings?
How long will it take to see fruits?

hehe, yup. It just looked so good in there. Now it is making little lemons. Her big sister need a haircut but still mulling over it how to do the best. In this pics still loop sided but staked her and trying to get upright again as much as possible. This one is four years here and came as a two to three year old. Just battled scaly bugs and ants and kinda frustrating but this morning at least the ants are gone (or so I hope)

Hello everybody,

Some of my trees :)

no, nothing new. I fertilize with organic citrus fertilizer and cheleated iron this spring because not diligent with feeding last year (foliar spray) as I had pale leafs. I just don't remember when this showed up as this is only on last years leafs and they do not look like they will fall off anytime soon. Re-potted a week ago and roots looked healthy as much as I could see. Lots of white tips, nothing mushy or falling appart. Wish I would have took picture of the roots.

I bought an Pro Blanco Four years ago. It looks like it wants to grow but it is stuck. Some of the leafs show some brown kinda layer along the veins. What am I dealing with? can not find any info. But have the feeling I need to do something. Thank you for any help.
