When should rollinias bloom?

I have a happy, healthy rollinia that’s about 8’ tall. Not a single bloom yet. Any comments?  I fertilize with good citrus fertilizer about once a quarter.

Mine started to bud at the end of February, continues blooming and setting fruit now, as most of my annonas.

Yeah, the rest of my annonas are all in full bloom.  Just this one.  I wonder why?  Maybe add some bloom booster?

Has it ever flowered before? If not, might be a maturity issue. Mine was around that size or a little bigger when it started flowering and fruiting.

Never, I put it in just before Irma.  I know it might just be a maturity issue, I was just wondering when they normally bloomed.

mine was a seedling and flowered any time it got enough rain since I never gave it anything. Not sure if they all need constant water to flower but mine sure did

Do you hand pollinate or does the tree set fruit on its own?

Coach, I'm here in Naples as well and mine is blooming right now. I tried hand pollinating this year so I'll keep you posted if I get any fruit. Last year it bloomed but I still didn't get any fruit.

Mine on Pine Island went in as a 7 gallon two years ago and is now flowering for the first time, about 7 feet.

It flushed new growth very early maybe 2 months ago, much earlier than my sugar apple and Atemoya, and about the same time as my soursop.

Mine has been blooming steadily for the last few weeks, maybe the past month. Flowers at other times too, but spring generally is a time of heavy flowering.

Well I looked at it closely yesterday, it has numerous small buds up and down the branches on older growth wood.  Not sure what those buds will turn out to be, but I'm  hoping they're blooms.

My only concern is that the tree is in an alkaline area of my yard, but I understood that Rollinia could tolerate that.  Otherwise, well lit and very well drained.

If they are blooms, I'll hand pollinate. 

I assume the technique is the same as other atemoyas??

Rollinias can handle high alkalinity. I've got about 8 inches of soil, then limestone.
