What do you get or what can you get if you plant Kampong Mauve seeds?

Depends on the variety and how stable it is and also if it outcrossed. Kampong mauve nearly always grow true. Big eyes shows a lot of variation in seedlings and some even have a red flush. My orange sugar apple seedling volunteered for mulch patrol after its fruiting debut with small green fruit that were seedy and of poor taste.

I have seen green, "red" and "KM look-a-like" fruit from KM seedlings.

Get yourself a cricket bat as you won't be disappointed. Even though big eyes can be a little untrue they won't actually lie and most offspring are pretty good.

Rob, recently a good friend of mine fruited a KM tree he bought from Excalibur and the fruit was green, we decided the tree was mislabeled. Thinking more on this does Excalibur sell grafted KM trees? Because two things could of happened A) mislabeled tree B) Seed grown KM that fruited green 🤷‍♂️

I recently fruited a seedling from Fruitscapes called “yellow Thai” along with my same friend and both our fruit were green. 🤷‍♂️

From time to time mutations can happen in the the sugar apple genome ie “seedless” sugar apple, these beneficial mutations are rare, but also not all sugar apples are the same.

I shared a big eyes sugar apple seedling with a friend and we compared fruit from his tree and mine. They were both different from the parent but both were still good.

Do you know anything about the big eye? Is it a cross? I recently got seeds and they are very small seeds.
What size are your seeds? Any info would be great? How was the taste? Where is the origin of your seeds/tree?
THANKS

Big Eyes is just a sugar apple selected in Taiwan for large segments and thus fewer seeds and good size. The Taiwanese Pineapple Sugar Apple variety appears to be a sugar apple x Atemoya.

They are a good quality sugar apple with big sections and small seeds. Standard SA taste and flesh a little firmer than average. Some on my tree get a red blush as in the pic.

Our Isan Indigo Purple Sugar apple is showing chewy and purple fruit from seeds, it has stable genetics so far and our trees are isolated and hand pollinated to keep genetic purity.  We have seeds avaible of three types currently.

They have long been grown in the Isaan region from seed so this would be a good option for growing true. Keeping them away from pimping bees is a good idea.
