Title: Best method for walnut grafting

No personal experience, but I've been studying the Grafter's Handbook (https://g.co/kgs/obvxBE) (e-book only costs like $4), and recalled it giving a detailed explanation of how to graft walnuts on small seedling rootstock, so I looked it up for you:

I think it also recommended patch/inlay types of grafts for larger stock.

Thanks for the reply and for taking time to search the info for me !! Those types of grafts seem to be done in summer, at first I looked at the incisions and thought ,wow this cust will cost me a finger or two ..haha ,then I read they are made on new tender growth and it cleared to me ...
I will try them in summer on the rootstocks that do not sprout from the spring grafting ...
