New growth on garcinias
« on: November 17, 2016, 06:48:57 PM »
I'm always fascinated by the colors all the different garcinias put out when new growth emerges. Had to take a picture of this garcinia dulcis.  Literally hot pink!  Haha. The others are usually yellow for new growth. Crazy.

With 3 acres of prime real estate for growing tropicals... why not create my own garden of eden?? Work in progress

I feel the same. My mangosteen puts out deep burgundy leaves that look like Autumn for about a week. The achachairu is a little less vibrant, but nice too.

Do you have any pics of garcinia prainiana seedlings? My labeling system went to s*** moving pots inside, in fear of hurricane Mathew.
